Life Lately + Blogging is Dead in the Philippines this 2018

Life Lately + Blogging is Dead in the Philippines this 2018
It's been couple of months since I last blogged here and I think I am not the only blogger in the Philippines who went missing in action this year. The reason why is because of Instagram. Most brands are investing more on IG if not, Youtube so if you are a blogger/ influencer who wants to earn money, then it is not too late to create your own PR friendly Instagram account. Right now, I have over 9,000 instagram followers and trying to update my feed as often as I can but life lately is more about work and adulting stuff. I still able to get some brands who wants to work with me but most of the time, I don't have the time to shoot content for them or no time to cover events.

I also noticed that I receive less advertorial emails in 2017 and 2018 so I kind of forget why I started blogging way back 2009. Back then, blogging is more on like a diary where you post everything under the sun. There are no influencers, no sponsored posts, no promoting stuff and definitely no money involved. I forget the main reason why I started a blog which is my passion in writing and it's been my outlet for me to release all negativity in my life.

Even though blogging is dead, I will continue on blogging not for the money but for myself. Thanks to this blog post that I published May of 2016 that is receiving massive amounts of comments recently and I have no idea why. I checked if there are spam links but don't see anything hidden so I am confused why I am getting a lot of amazing comments there. I just think that maybe the blogging world wants me back?

The main point of this post is to let everyone know that I am back in blogging but this time, I will be sharing more personal stuff like what I do during the weekend, what I eat when I go out, some negative things I experience in my life or at my workplace etc. No more posts about promoting brands or whatsoever so that's it for today!

PS. I also had my rhinoplasty surgery last April 2018 and will be getting another one this coming August since the one that I had with Dr. Reyvic Cerilles was a mess. Expect a detailed post about my nosejob journey in the future so stay tuned if ever you are planning of getting one.

P.P.S The photo above is not mine. Shoutout to Tim Goedhart from Unsplash for letting me use this amazing photo!

Natural Skin Peeling - Make Your Skin Beautiful By Using a Natural Clay Mask

Natural skin peeling is truly the ideal measure if you want to get smooth, beautiful skin. It is true that the skin renews itself, too, but it's useful to help it with a natural clay mask and here's why:
Natural Skin Peeling - Make Your Skin Beautiful By Using a Natural Clay Mask

Our skin generates about 1 million skin cells every minute, day in day out. That amounts to more than 5 billion new cells daily! Old, dead cells that are being replaced by these new ones begin naturally peeling off after being on the skins upper layers for about 25 days, giving opportunity for the new skin cells to take their place. However, sometimes the dead cells stay attached to your skin, making it impossible for the fresh skin to come to the surface. This can lead to spots, blackheads, discoloration and even premature aging.

If you're unhappy with how your face looks, the problem could just be that your skin can't get rid of the old cells on its own! You should help your by exfoliating it naturally, with a deep cleansing mask, to make sure the dead skin cells are removed. This way, your skin condition is likely to improve.
But why do you need to use a natural clay mask?

Well, there are many ways to naturally peel your skin: scrubbing with a sponge, micro-beads or other abrasives, or chemically with different kinds of acids. The problem with most of these peels is that they are not suitable everyone. Mechanical peels can irritate your skin if they're done too harshly, and chemical peels usually need to be done by a dermatologist. But a good natural clay mask with cleansing properties can be used at home, it's risk free and gentle, but still very efficient.

The main effect is, like said above, that the mask pulls away and removes dead skin cells from your face. At the same time good natural clay masks can restore your skins elasticity, reduce pore size and smooth away fine lines and wrinkles. A good mask can also assist in improving your skin color and in stimulating collagen production, making your face look younger.

Pimples on Your Face - Can a Clay Mask Cure Them?

Pimples on Your Face - Can a Clay Mask Cure Them?
I recently discovered that by using a clay mask that it definitely can help with reducing the redness and inflammation on your spots. So I thought I would discuss a little about it and tell you what I found. It worked well on the smaller zits and the rosiness. I also discovered that if you put it all over your face it makes it really dry so it was better to just put it on the spots and inflamed area. So I did a bit of research on Clay Mask and this is what I have found it is better to use white clay on your skin as it is not as harsh on the skin as red or yellow clay is. I also mixed it with Aloe Vera which really helped heal my skin up really quickly, it took out all the inflammation from the zits and I resisted to scratch, rub or pick any of them. If you pick your zits from my experience what occurs is they take longer to heal and also finish up leaving a scar on your face so number 1 rule do not be persuaded to pick, squeeze any of them as you may just finish up making your spot worse and we do not desire any scars on our face do we? Not if we are able to help it anyway.

The clay works by drying out the pimple, healing it faster and reducing the inflammation of the blemishes. It draws out the toxins which are lying underneath the skin, so in effect it is taking out all that bad horrible yucky yellow stuff that you see when a pimple blemish bursts. The Clay seeps down into the layers of the skin and help to reduce the redness so helping in taking away the inflammation round the zit too. I would only ever leave it on for 5-10 minutes at the most as it is very drying. Once you have the clay on your blemish wash it off, when you do this you are washing away the toxins at the same time. Which is what we want. So I have tried using this at night before going to bed on the odd little pimple that pops up, and when I wake up in the morning the pimple has shrunk. I used Aloe vera mixing the 2 together and this has actually helped. Aloe Vera is renowned for its healing properties and its very good at taking away inflammation from the skin naturally. You can use any color of clay you would like I just found that the white clay to be to the most kind on the skin for me. The original mask I was given was a red mask. This is one that soften's the skin.

So what is Clay? Well it's dried powder that has been sun dried and it has different properties in each one, it's something a lot of salons use making up mask's to help with different problems people are having with their skins. It is quite popular to buy over clay mask and you can find them at pharmacies as well as supermarkets.

White clay is the most delicate it is best for sensitive skin and it's why I use it as my skin is sensitive. It wont pull out as many poisons from your skin as some of the others but it is best to use what suits your skin type.

Green Clay from the other view point is suited to oily skin types as well as combination skin, it is the most suited for oily and acne prone skin. A lot of people break out in acne due to a allergy to a foundation they are using and do not realize this. Its best to use a oil free moisturizer and foundation when you are prone to acne breakouts.

You will of course have to try it out on your skin to determine if your skin type will put up with it.
Red Clay helps with decongesting the skin. It helps to soften and firm also. Yellow clay is similar to green clay but not so powerful. It's good for mature and dehydrated skin.

Take Care of Dry Skin

Dry skin is a common ailment among men, women and children, no matter the season or the climate. In some countries where there are seasonal changes, the drastic changes of temperature could readily upset the elasticity of the skin. Going to a dermatologist is not an option for some especially if there is none nearby or if the finances just do not allow for it.
Take Care of Dry Skin
Dry skin has been linked with the type of diet that an individual follows and even if the diet is nutritious, if there is a lack of certain vitamins like Vitamins E, B, C and D, then the skin can still suffer for it. A diet of fish, fruits, raw vegetables, as well as lots of water and exercise may sound like a diet for a heart patient or even a diabetic; however, these are still the main staple of gaining good skin.

Hygiene is another way to keep the skin healthy. Taking showers or baths are good and hygienic, but there is a right way and a wrong way to do it. Lukewarm water is the best temperature for the body as this does not shock the system as much as cold and hot water showers do. Moreover, it is best not to stay too long in the water as this could also make it dry, no matter what moisturizing bars claim in the market. Try moisturizing the skin soon after taking a bath or shower as this will retain or 'lock in' the moisture.

There are also home remedies that work quite well with moisturizing the skin. Surprisingly, olive oil used for salads is also very good for the skin, so is peanut oil, and almond oil. These same oils are also highly effective for dry hair.

For skin that is chapped or has rashes, the home remedy of oatmeal soap or oatmeal wash that is usually used when one has chicken pox also works perfectly. It not only soothes the skin and prevents stinging when using ordinary soaps, but it actually has an antibacterial and an anti-itch effect.
For those who have cracked and sore dry rough skin on the hands and heels of the feet, applying Vaseline or body cream based on olive oil is best at bedtime. Keep the moisture in by using socks when sleeping as this will increase the effectiveness.

As dry skin means that the skin lacks moisture, it means that there are not enough fluids in the body, especially if they are lost due to excessive sweating. The best remedy for this is of course, hydration with natural water, not the sugary flavored sports drinks, but just plain old water. Following a course of good food and water, plus exercise, not only will the skin get healthier and regain its elasticity, but the body itself will be healthier.

Best Moisturizing Cream - Using Honey As Moisturizer Will Nourish and Rejuvenate Your Skin

Using a moisturizing cream that contains honey as moisturizer will make your skin look healthy, smooth and flawless; you may be saying why don't I just apply raw honey on my skin? Well, you should not do that because it will feel sticky and look messy. So, this article is going to tell you how to find the best moisturizing creams that also contain the best type of honey as a moisturizer.
Using Honey As Moisturizer Will Nourish and Rejuvenate Your Skin
One advice I will give you before we go on is, stay away from skin care products that contain chemicals; they dry your skin and have other harmful effects on your body. Most moisturizing creams on the market contain mineral oil; this ingredient is a petrochemical that clog the pores and cause allergic reactions and breakouts; hence, avoid products that contain mineral oil and other chemicals such as parabens, fragrances, dioxane, and sulfates.

The best moisturizing cream should contain natural emollients like Grapeseed oil, Maracuja, Jojoba oil and Babassu; these plant oils will never block your pores and will not make your skin greasy.

If you want the best brand, look for one that contains Active Manuka honey as moisturizer; this is a special kind of honey found in the Manuka bush in New Zealand. It is rich in special enzymes, antioxidants, healing and antibacterial properties that are not found in other types; hence, it promotes cells renewal and the production of strong collagen. Its antioxidant properties help to protect your skin against the harmful effects of free radicals.

Active Manuka honey as moisturizer is proven to nourish and rejuvenate your skin to make it look younger; it also heals conditions like acne, eczema and psoriasis, thereby making your skin look healthy and flawless.

If you really want your skin to radiate with beauty, look for a natural moisturizing cream that contains Active Manuka honey as moisturizer and the other natural ingredients mentioned here.

How Do You Find The Best Moisturizer?

A commercial moisturizer contains a mixture of chemical agents that is designed to soften the outer layers of the skin by improving its hydration. Some of its ingredients are natural lipids and sterols, oils, lubricants, humectants and emollients. It is known to treat dry skin, improve skin tone and at the same time protect sensitive skin.
how to find the best moisturizer cream for men blog
There are a variety of moisturizers that are available in the market today because of their popularity, especially among women, but concerns have been raised by experts regarding their safety. Now, let's evaluate and find the best moisturizer in the market.

There is research which indicates that the only moisturizer that does not increase the incidence of skin cancer in high-risk mice is the one that has no sodium lauryl sulphate and mineral oil. This means that many commercial moisturizers, which contain these two chemicals, are not safe to use. So, let's look for natural moisturizers that are safe and effective.

Let's consider jojoba oil as a skin moisturizer. It is actually a wax ester and not an oil, is rich in vitamin E, and has a chemical makeup comparable to sebum, an oil produced by human skin. One advantage of using jojoba oil is that its hydrating effect lasts longer compared to other commercial moisturizers.

Another highly recommended natural moisturizer is olive oil. Because it is rich in vitamin E (like jojoba oil), it is effective in fighting wrinkles and in the overall improvement of skin.

Shea butter can also be used as a moisturizer and is found in several natural skin care products because of its ability to promote elasticity and to make the skin firmer. Additionally, the fatty acids in shea butter can help the skin reduce the appearance of dullness and age spots, which are associated with aging.

Avocado oil contains vitamins A and E, antioxidants that are effective in maintaining skin's health and is shown to improve the collagent content of the skin.

Meanwhile, there are natural skin care products that incorporate natural moisturizers in them. These skin care products range from a night cream, eye creams to anti-wrinkle creams that contain natural skin care oils that can moisturize the skin including jojoba oil, avocado oil and shea butter. These products moisturize and at the same time they help prevent wrinkles.

Based on what I learned about commercial moisturizers, I can say that the most advertised products are not the most effective and the safest. For me, natural oils are still the best moisturizers. And the best natural skin care products are those that contain all the ingredients the skin needs to stay healthy and younger-looking.

Face Pores Treatment - Find Treatments That Reduce Facial Pores

Reducing face pores that get formed on skin (especially during teenage) can be minimized and even cleared off the skin with effective treatments. Skin pores treatment for oily skin with lot of breakouts is different from conventional skin care treatment.
Face Pores Treatment - Find Treatments That Reduce Facial Pores
Facial pores treatment needs to work on sebum that blocks the pores on face. Sebum is a form of oil secreted by skin cells. This activity is more pronounced on face (especially on areas surrounding nose and chin).

Chemical peels and usage of face masks are some of the most effective treatments to minimize pores. If you are really worried of side effects, you could undergo the treatment with natural and herbal products.

Chemical peels are made out of chemicals like glycolic acid and salicylic acid. These acids are universal solvents which have the ability to dissolve and clear pores, sebum and dead cells from surface of skin. In excess quantities they might affect inner layers of skin. Hence they should be used in mild concentration. Its really good if you could consult your dermatologist before choosing a product with specific concentration. This differs based on the severity of facial pores.

Face masks are exfoliating masks which need to be applied over face for at least half an hour. Face masks effectively absorb dead skin cells from epidermal layer of skin. They also clean excess oil and thus clear pores. They need to be applied regularly (generally once or twice a week) to see long lasting effects with reduced or cleared off pores.

Eggs on a Keto Diet

Eggs on a Keto Diet
There are many kinds of diets and nutrition that can be found either online, or in other sources. Many of them are based on a process called ketosis, in which your body stops using carbs as the primary source of energy, and instead uses fats as the main energy source. This state of ketosis can be achieved by a keto diet, which is actually just another name for a low carbohydrate diet, because on the ketogenic diet, your goal is to eat food rich in proteins and fats, and low in carbohydrates. There are many things you can eat in order to meet the mentioned criteria. In this article we will mostly talk about eggs.

Eggs have important and valuable nutritional properties. They are a great source of proteins. Chicken eggs, that are the most commonly eaten eggs have all the essential amino acids that are necessary humans, and also have many vitamins and minerals, like vitamin A, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, riboflavin, folic acid, and minerals like iron, calcium and potassium. Their high protein content is valued especially by many athletes and body builders that wish to increase their muscle mass, or maintain the current level.

On 100 grams of whole eggs, we have about 13 grams of proteins, 10 grams of fat and 1 gram of carbohydrates. An average chicken egg can have between 50 and 70 grams, so the amounts of proteins, fats or carbs can easily be calculated. Thereby if we take 60 grams as the weight of an average egg, it would contain around 8 grams of proteins, 6 grams of fat, and only around half a gram of carbs.

As we can see, the eggs have a very low amount of carbohydrates, and a high amount of fats and proteins, which is exactly what one needs to maintain the state of ketosis on a keto diet. There are many recipes based on eggs which one can eat on a keto diet, but one one should only make sure that nothing that contains carbs is added.

Ketogenic Diets and Weight Loss and Bodybuilding

Ketogenic Diets and Weight Loss and Bodybuilding
I get asked about ketogenic diets for bodybuilding or weight loss goals a lot. People always wants to know what he best diet is or what they can do to lose fat faster. Truthfully, most people have no clue what they are getting themselves into. While a ketogenic diet may work better then a low carb diet, I don't know if people are ready for them.

First off, a ketogenic diet is one where there are no carbs. Without carbohydrates the body turn to burn fat as the primary fuel source. Since this is happening the body can tap into stored bodyfat for energy and we can end up leaner. Well while that is possible we need to look at what may happen.

For starters your energy will be drained. Without carbohydrates your body won't know what energy source to turn to for a few days so you may experience feelings of weakness while you train or until your body becomes adapted at using fat. While this isn't a bad thing you must understand that you have to change your training intensity. There's no way that you can keep training with super high volume while you use one of these diets.

The next thing that you have to understand about using a ketogenic diet for weight loss or bodybuilding is that you need to eat more protein then normal. Since you don't have carbs, and carbs are protein sparing, you need to consume more protein so you don't lose muscle tissue. So make sure that you are eating at least 6 meals per day with a servings of protein coming every meal.

Then you have to make sure that you are getting enough fiber. Look to consume fiber from various sources such as green vegetables and fiber powder or pills like physillum husk. Now you need to add some healthily nutritional supplements since you want to make sure that you do your best to burn fat on these keto diets for weight loss and bodybuilding. First, make sure you consume healthy fats like omega-3 fish oils, cla, and gla. These fats will help to burn more body fat. Then you want to purchase a good branch chain amino acid powder as bcaa's help to retain muscle mass and prevent muscle breakdown.

So in conclusion, a ketogenic diet may be the best for weight loss or bodybuilding but you need to make sure you are eating enough and taking in the right nutrients or you'll lose too much muscle mass.

Keto Diet - Is it the Best Diet for Losing Weight and Fat?

keto diet for women best food to eat
We have all heard about those fad diets like the grapefruit diet or the apple diet. I am here to tell you diets that work. All of those diets are fad, crash, "stupid" diets. A real diet contains a mix of muscle building protein, energy filling carbs, and healthy fats for your heart.

For losing weight, ketosis is the best diet and is not a fad. In a keto diet, one would eat lots of protein and fats and little carbohydrates to get there body in a state of ketosis. Since there is no more glycogen in your body, from the lack of carbohydrates, your body will build ketone bodies from your fat tissues to fuel your body and your brain. As long as you are eating enough protein, you will preserve your muscle and lose pounds of fat easy.

Getting into ketosis takes about 3-7 days depending on your current glycogen storage. Ketosis feels odd at first because you will be lethargic and may experience headaches and even nausea. However, these symptons go away. You will also drop lots of weight at first because of water weight.

Typical foods on a keto diet include nuts, whey protein, eggs, bacon, sausage, olive oil, butter, salmon, etc; anything that contains a high amount of protein and fats and no carbs. A vitamin pill is often taken in a keto diet since you can't eat much vegetables. (however you can eat at least one bowl of salad)

It takes strong willpower to stay on keto because if you cheat once or eat something bad your body will be out of ketosis. A process that took 3-7 days now has to be re-done.
In short, Keto is the best short-term diet you can do for cutting.

Popping Pimples - Good or Bad for your Skin?

Popping Pimples - Good or Bad for your Skin?

One could say that Popping Pimples is a part of getting through the adolescent years. Not only are pimples ugly to look at, but they could also be a sign that the skin is going through various changes. When a pimple occurs it's a natural reaction to want to get rid of them fast so we pop them. What we don't know is that method is a little mistake that could lead to a big problem later.

What are Pimples?
A Pimple is a swelling in the skin caused by pores that is clogged with oil, dirt, or pus. Pimples can occur individually on the skin or in mass amounts and they can appear anywhere on the body. In addition, they can result in mild to severe acne cases.

There are a number of reasons why pimples can occur. Reasons such as puberty unbalance of female hormones (pre-menstrual cycle), greasy foods, oil-based skin care products, and even heredity can create these unwanted bumps. Even constantly touching the face with your hands or not following a daily cleansing ritual can increase the onset of a breakout.

Is Popping Pimples Really Beneficial?
When pimples occur on the face, we want to get rid of them as soon as possible and we think popping these unattractive bumps is the quickest way to do this. We lean forward towards the mirror, place two fingertips one on either side of the bump and then press the fingertips towards each with the hopes to burst the ugly bump and release the contents inside. Once the tension from squeezing the pimple has reached its maximum limit, the contents of the clogged pores are released. This process can be painful and it can be damaging to the skin. So, in my opinion it is not beneficial to pop a pimple unless you know what you are doing and most of us don't.

When pressure is placed upon the skin that is around and covering the clogged pore, the skin is being stretched to the point that it will eventually create an opening which is essentially a self-inflicted wound. Yes, the tension of knowing that a pimple was once on your face has been relieved but now you are faced with a red sore on your face. Worse yet, the sore can turn into a scab which can in turn become a lifetime scar if the damage from squeezing that pimple was extreme enough.

Another thing to consider before you decide to pop Pimples and that is once that open sore that you create isn't kept clean, it can become infected. In fact, many tend to continue to examine and then touch the affected area of skin which adds additional unwanted pollutants to that area. This can cause more damage to the skin when the sole purpose is to remove the unwanted bump.

So should we be venturing into the nearest bathroom to press, push and force our skin to break open just to discover that we must then deal with a red open sore that could possibly become infected? Or should we be accessing the numerous other options available today, from homeopathic to over the counter products to dermatologist services that can be much more effective?

The downside to these methods is that many of us don't want to wait for these options to work. Which leads us to the conclusion that unfortunately, Popping Pimples will be an ongoing method that we think is a quick fix to those unsightly skin irregularities regardless of the outcome?

What Is the Best Over The Counter Wrinkle Cream Or Serum

What Is the Best Over The Counter Wrinkle Cream Or Serum
People will always have different choices when it comes to over the counter wrinkle creams or serums. It's really not very easy to decide, especially when there are tons of them out there. They are literally everywhere - in physical stores as well as online. For me, though, choosing an anti- wrinkle cream is more like a personal thing; what works for one person may not be the best choice for another. The best anti-wrinkle cream may not be the most popular or most expensive one out there, but it has to be one that is right for you. But how do you know what's right for you? Well, there are two critical factors to consider - your skin type and your age. Let's have a look at each one.

Skin Type
Do you have dry skin, oily skin, normal skin, or a combination of any two? If you are not sure, just take a look at the pores of your skin. If the pores of your skin are big, your skin is oily, otherwise, it's dry. You can also run this simple test. Wash your face clean with a cleanser. Pat it dry then wait for an hour. Then put a tissue on each of these areas - the chin, the center of the cheeks, the outer portion of the cheeks, the center of the forehead, the outer portion of the forehead, and the nose. Now what do you see? If oil appears on every tissue, it means that you have oily skin. If oil appears only on areas along the T-zone, that's on the center of your forehead, the nose, the chin, as well as the center of your cheeks, it means that you have "combination" skin type. If flakes appear on all the tissues, it means that your skin is dry, but if neither oil nor flake is present on any one of the tissues, your skin is the normal type.

It's very important that you know your skin type before shopping for an anti-wrinkle cream or any beauty products because you will want to be sure that the ingredients in your choice of anti-aging product are not going to cause any negative reaction to your skin. If you have dry skin, for instance, you will benefit greatly with an anti-wrinkle cream that contains hydrating properties. Look especially for wrinkle products with Vitamin E because this vitamin can hold water so as to keep the skin from drying. On the other hand if you have oily skin, you will want to avoid oils that can further clog the pores. See to it, then, that your choice of product does not have petrolatum or mineral oil.

Age
Anti-wrinkle creams or serums come in different formulations, so you must choose one that is able to address the issues common to your age. If you are between 40 and 55 years old, you are likely to be dealing with sagging lids, more dark spots, and more visible wrinkles. In this case you will need your anti-wrinkle cream to do more than just protect your skin. You will want your wrinkle cream to have the capability of repairing your damaged skin cells so as to reverse these problems. In this case, you will need your anti-wrinkle cream to come with more powerful antioxidants, and with other ingredients that are clinically proven to stimulate the natural production of collagen and elastin (which in low levels cause the appearance of wrinkles and the skin to sag).

As you can see, I cannot tell you what is the best over the counter wrinkle cream or serum out there now. That has to be your decision based on your skin type and your age.
