Lazy Wednesday

Good morning everyone! The weather today is just making me feel lazy and stay under the warmth of my blanket. Good thing is I already finished all my backlogs last weekend and I don't feel like blogging about the usual things (fashion, skin care etc...) right now.

Sharing you some bed arrangements that will make you want to stay in your bed all day and do nothing or cuddle with your loved one.

Monday Must Read: Helpful Tips on Minimizing Large Face Pores

Happy Monday loves! Pokemon Go is consuming most of my time from the day that it was released here in the Philippines and because of that, I am always on the go! I think the app has good and bad side but it is still depends on the user though. Anyway, I am not going to talk about the game here, today I am going to feature some articles about tips on minimizing large face pores.

Basic Skin Care Tips Everybody Must Follow

I have been writing a lot about some tips in taking care of our skin but I was not able to blog about the basic and most essential. That is the reason I came up with these basic skin care tips everyone must follow! This is before all the supplements and facial products so before buying anything for your skin, make sure to follow these simple steps.

PROTECT YOUR SKIN FROM DIRECT SUNLIGHT

Sunlight in the morning is healthy and a very good source of vitamin-e that is much needed by our skin but direct sunlight from 9 AM until 3 PM can cause skin irritation or worst, skin cancer.

So in order to fight back from the sun's harmful UV rays, make sure you always sunscreen with an SF of at least 15. Apply sunscreen on to your skin generously and do not forget to re-apply every after 2 hours of direct exposure to sunlight.

How To Condition Dry and Thick Hair With Shampoos?

Have you ever thought about the precise method of conditioning the hair to make them shiny and glossy with the use of genuine products? It’s a fact that people across the globe have different hair textures, and that includes thin, thick, curly, sleek, frizzy hair. So, today I’ m going to talk about the relevance and proper conditioning of dry and thick hair with the use of shampoo. Yes, you have got it right as you can condition your hair with shampoo. It becomes all the more important when you have a pixie hair cut, and you have thick dry hair that needs appropriate conditioning. Then, all you need to recognize is that whatever your hair type is, you need to condition the hair to hydrate the follicles and make your hair super soft and shiny.

HOW TO CONDITION DRY AND THICK HAIR WITH SHAMPOOS?

It is certainly a fact that dry hair needs adequate moisturization through conditioning as the dry hair lack shine, and there is a need of moisturizing shampoo that provides required shine to hair. On the other hand, thicker hair is also dry and need the adequate moisturization with perfect conditioning with shampoos. So, there is a need of shampoo for dry and thick hair that not only clears off all the dirt and oil and conditions them appropriately.

Coffee + Skin: Caffeine for a Healthier Skin

I must say that this is something new to me. I never thought that caffeine can actually gives us the chance to achieve that healthier skin we have been dreaming of. Coffee, a universal breakfast drink that wakes up our senses everyday can also nourish our skin, decrease the chance of having skin cancers and shockingly promotes hair growth in men.

In today's beauty industry, Caffeine is now being used in formulas for body creams, hair serum and other cosmetic products that you can find in the market. Caffeine in skincare products is not really a good combination because it is very hard to penetrate in the skin but kudos to our advanced technology in making things easier for us.

Surprisingly, drinking 4-6 coffees daily decreases that chance of getting certain skin cancers and that was proven by a clinical study of white American women.
Daily coffee consumption and prevalence of nonmelanoma skin cancer in Caucasian women.
The purpose of this study was to assess the relationship between daily coffee consumption and nonmelanoma skin cancer. This study was a cross-sectional analysis of women enrolled in the Women's Health Initiative Observational Study (n=93 676). As nearly all cases of self-reported nonmelanoma skin cancer occurred among Caucasian women (97.8%), we focused our analyses on this group. Compared with nondrinkers, women drinking only caffeinated coffee on a daily basis had a 10.8% lower prevalence of nonmelanoma skin cancer. Consumption of six or more cups of caffeinated coffee per day was associated with a 36% reduction in nonmelanoma skin cancer. After adjusting for various demographic and life style variables, daily consumption of six or more cups was associated with a 30% reduced prevalence of nonmelanoma skin cancer. In contrast to caffeinated coffee, daily consumption of decaffeinated coffee was not associated with a significant change in self-reported nonmelanoma skin cancer for Caucasian women. Daily caffeinated coffee consumption was associated with a dose-related decreased prevalence of nonmelanoma skin cancer in Caucasian women. via
So I think, it is already a myth about coffee sucking out all the collagen in our skin making it super dry and unhealthy.

For all coffee drinkers out there, what can you say about this?

Long Hair Don't Care

Maintaining long and healthy hair can be a huge task especially if you work full-time and have no time to spare. I know a lot of girls who try their hardest to pull of the long hair look (down below their hips) but end up cutting it to a medium length or worst cutting it really short because it is easier to maintain.

Volume Vixen (Medium) & Volume Vixen (Light Red)
But if you are that type of woman who does not want to spend a lot of time maintaining a long hair, you might want to try these beautiful clip on hair extensions. Aside from the fact that they don't look fake or like a cheap wig, they also come up with variety of hair colors that can match yours so it looks 100% natural!

3 of the Best Vitamin-E for that Glowing & Healthy Skin

If you think you did everything to maintain a healthy & glowing skin, but it is not enough, you may want to consider the things you put in your body. Maybe you are missing a very important part of your diet which is Vitamin-E.

Vitamin-E a very vital for our body as it slows down aging in a natural way. It can be found in certain food like oils, nuts, poultry, eggs, fruits and wheat germ oil. If you don't eat food with vitamin-e component, then I highly suggest taking in supplements that can give you enough source for it. source

Monday Must Read: Useful Tips on How to Have Fresh Korean Skin

Happy Monday, loves! It's been one hell of a week and I am still tired from our company's outing last Saturday so I just spent my whole day resting. Went out to buy some stuff at home and for dinner as well but mostly, I just hopped from one blog to the other. Kind of relaxing actually; reading posts about fashion, shopping, interior designs etc.

Amazing Benefits & Side Effects of Whitelight Sublingual Glutathione

I am in the journey of finding the best glutathione in the Philippines and willing to try some of them. My goal is not to have whiter skin but to a healthy and smoother skin that lasts as I age. Since I am not getting any younger, as early as now, I want to invest in products that will benefit my body from the inside & out.

fairer korean skin

As of now, I already tried several glutathione products which I already posted on the blog, so far, one of my favorites is Snowcaps L-Glutathione Supplement. I also liked my experience with Metathione Whitening Capsule but it is more expensive but has the same effect as Snowcaps.

Currently Using Whitelight Sublingual Glutathione Spray

Hello awesome blog readers! In this post, I will share you this new product that I have been using for a week now. It is called Whitelight Sublingual Glutathione that I bought in LAZADA for only 1,500 pesos. It is quite cheaper compared to other online shops because I saw it somewhere online as well but it costs around 2,000+ pesos (for the same exact product). I think I prefer buying stuff in Lazada now because I am saving money compared to buying at the mall like for example, the Snowcaps Glutathione that I bought in Watsons for 1,500 where you can purchase the same exact thing online for only 1,040 pesos. Big savings indeed!

whitelight sublingual glutathione

From the root word sublingual that means under the tongue, it is a method of administering substances orally and in this manner, the substance will rapidly and effectively absorb by our body compared to taking it in using capsules or tablets. And it is also not dangerous even if you overdose yourself with this substance since glutathione is a common compound that can be found in our body.

Life Lately + Supermarket Snaps

It's Monday again and I want to start my week right by writing a "Life Lately" blog entry. I think I need to blog more about my life because I don't want to overwhelm you guys with fashion post full of affiliate links perhaps, this also serves as my outlet, semi-personal blog.

fruits photography at supermarket

Every time I go to supermarket, I tend to take a lot of photos in my VSCO cam but mostly, for my snapchat updates. I don't know but I really love the colors there specially the fruits section.

Spring 2016 Trend Check- Things Worth Investing In

Most fashionistas know the love for runway trends. Every season, it’s a wait to see the best of fashion unfold on the ramp. Spring 2016 collections were revealed last year, and a lot has already been written about the trending ideas. However, if you are on a budget, you would need to find the most wearable and effective ideas. This is a post that talks of all the essentials worth investing for spring, along with some fun ideas to glam up your closet.

The button-down with a twist: We all have that one button-down white shirt, which easily shifts from the workplace to the casual outings. However, for spring, many designers worked with unique ideas, giving the basic design a quick twist. The white shirts in spring collections were all about using many ideas. From lace and ruffles to cut-outs and even sheer materials, there were quite a few ideas.  White shirts are great for the fall too, so this is more like an investment for your wardrobe.

The amazing wrap skirt: After a long time, wrap skirts made way to the runways in a variety of different approaches. From a slit to use of muted and often subtle colors, there was something for all. You can check top collections of Andrew Gn, Carven, and Michael Kors to name a few. Keep a check on the hemlines, which fluctuated from being simple, A-line to more asymmetrical designs. Wrap skirts were once reserved for the casual outings, but with the current tweaks, you can even wear one at work.

The stripes gone bold: Bold and colorful stripes was one of the best trends this year seen at some of the biggest shows including that of Christian Dior, Alexander Wang and Max Mara. If you are fond of simpler stripes, you should see a few looks at Elie Saab, DKNY, and Tommy Hilfiger. Stripes work wonders when you wear a dress or simple skirt with a monotone top. Whatever you choose, make sure to limit the accessories, so that you can avoid a cluttered look. Complete your look with a pair of simple sneakers and a nice pair of shades. For summer sneakers, click here.

The love for pleats: Pleats, in the more functional ways, emerged as the leading trend this season, and it was great to find so many unique ideas. From the colorful skirts to the more sculptural dresses, this is one runway idea that looked amazing in varied forms. Just add the right twists of a statement necklace or a good pair of danglers, and you are good to go for a fun day with the girls. You can find a few pleat looks at Gucci, Carolina Herrera and Emilio Pucci.

Until we have another round of fashion talk, stay happy!

Professional Skincare Formula by Dr Alvin Did Not Work For Me

If you are looking for a skincare formula that is already known to minimize and rejuvenate pores, then you might want to try Professional Skincare Formula by Dr Alvin. I mentioned it before when I write something about minimizing face pores using kojic soap and I think it somehow worked for me.
I am not sure what went wrong but I developed a more sensitive skin after using Dr Alvin's kojic soap. During my first week, everything was fine. I never had any allergic reaction and as a matter of fact, I found it really effective because I saw that my skin was peeling a bit and pores were closing little by little. But on my second week, I noticed that my skin was more sensitive than before. Like it always felt itchy and when I scratch it even a bit, there will be red spots all over my face.

Symmetrical Beach Life

Happy Wednesday my loves! I am quite disappointed about PokemonGo's servers being blocked in the Philippines right after I downloaded it on my phone. Anyway, I am hoping that they will open it soon here so I can try catch some pokemons in my area and it will definitely encourage me to walk more on my way home from work. Need to lose some fats!

Skin Care Product Must-Haves from The Body Shop

Sharing you for today's post some of the best skin care products that I want to try from The Body Shop. So far, these are some of the products I have used/ am using for that healthy-looking skin.

1. LIP BALM - My lip is kind of sensitive especially if I use products that are not natural. That is why I want to try TBS's moisturizing lip care. It comes with variety of delicious flavors for irresistibly kissable lips, plus the fact that they are made from 100% natural ingredients.

2. DROPS OF YOUTH - I have tried different serums and so far, the most effective for me was Kiehl's Midnight Recovery but the problem is, it is expensive. Youth Concentrate is going to be your day-to-night skincare routine. Each product in this range gives you another daily dose of more youthful-looking skin. It is also perfect for people who have large pores that needs to be closed and fine lines to be smoothed. Definitely a must try!

3. ALOE VERA - For that ever sensitive skin. TBS has fragrance-free and alcohol-free Aloe Vera products that are clinically proven to be suitable for sensitive skin and helps soothe signs of irritation. They are natural skin soother and perfect for allergy-prone, itchy or red skin.

4. TONERS - This toner lifts off the grime and make-up you can't get at with water, it also temporarily tighten pores and refreshes your skin so it's moisture ready.

How about you? Mind sharing your favorite skincare products?

Weekend Loves & Links #2

Happy Friday everyone! I don't have work today because today is Canada Day; although I live in the Philippines, my clients at my day job are all from different provinces in Canada so we celebrate their holidays as well. It's been raining since Wednesday here in my place but I kinda like it! I love the gloomy weather that is perfect for short walk at the park before I go home from work and especially the cold temperature, cuddle weather it is! ;) Sharing you some of the few things I love for this week.

Dying to have one of these cool skull crafted ceramics I found on an etsy shop. And some succulents too!

Drawings on the Wall

Dreaming to get one of these artsy wallpapers I have found online. I know that I am not really into this kind of color when it comes to designing spaces but this could be a perfect alternative in case you want something new. More wallpapers here.

Watsons Finds: Cathy Doll White Heads Clay Mask & Quick Fix Tinted Moisturizer

Yesterday, I went to Market Market Mall to do some of my Sunday chores like buying shampoo and conditioner for my pet dog, Samson, buy some groceries for dinner and a lot more! I also had my Balinese whole body massage at Big Apple Express that I find very relaxing. It has been almost a year since I had a great massage experience, work has been occupying my entire life now. Right now, my goal is to save money for my future and some pocket money when I visit my mom in Belgium. I just want to share with you guys some of the things I bought from Watsons and I might write a separate blog for my personal review in the next days.

Quick FX Tinted Moisturizer
I was really impressed with the products that I had tried from Quick FX, so far, I already tried their CC Cream and No-Shine Mattifier. Have not tried their tinted moisturizer yet but I will let you know if this will work for me as well. But my favorite would be their mattifier.

Weekend Loves & Links #1

Happy Friday everyone! This is going to be the very first volume of Friday Link Up where I feature some of the things I have stumbled upon during weekdays that I truly loved. Enjoy the photos and down below them, you can see some short descriptions and links where you can read more of it!
I am loving this early summer salad that is perfect for my diet since I have been trying to lose some weights lately. Last year, I took this weight gain drink and it was 100% legit. Now, I have been dying to lose some fats because of it.

Also, these all-natural furniture is definitely an eye catcher! If only I could have one at home.

I have also never imagined that there are so many ways in preparing an avocado. Gosh I love these recipes I found while browsing online. Would love to try them all!

Loving all the photos from this blog especially at the beach. Things at work have been so toxic for me. Sometimes I just want to quit and travel. My mom from Belgium wanted me to have a 3-month vacation over there but I am afraid that would be impossible because of the nature of my hectic work here in the Philippines. Maybe soon...

Tiny White Space

Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday. This day is dedicated for all things related to interior design that I truly love and if you are new here, I am into minimal design like black & white motif for small spaces since I live in a small studio type room here in the Metro with my dog so it is all about making tiny spaces look bigger.

Sunday Currently #2

I am not really into my blogging mood this week because I was so stressed with my upskill training at work. I love learning new things especially at work but there are things that I just don't get and I also don't like the feeling that I am the only one who don't get it. But for the sake of the second volume of my sunday currently, you can read the first volume here.

Click These + Monday Thoughts

Hello Monday people! As much as I want to rant about Mondays, I will just try to be more positive about it. When I was a child, I really hate Monday because I don't like going to school. I also don't like the feeling when my weekend is about to end, it is like watching the world goes to an end.

Anyway, new work week for me and this is going to be a hectic one since I will be on a training for two weeks. It is like a upgrade training for my skills at work, extra work, extra responsibility but in the end, a new opportunity for my career as an insurance guy. This training will be hard at first but I believe that I can make it!

Sunday and It's Raining

So this the very first volume of my "Sunday Currently" since I have been seeing a lot of bloggers do this every week. For this entry, I am going to write about everything that's happening or anything in my head on a Sunday.

I was about to visit my apartment today to get my TV because the old one that we got here in my partner's unit is not working anymore. I was about to go out already however, it started raining and it's only 3 pm but the view outside looks like it's already 6! I think this is the official start of rainy season in the Philippines. I love gloomy days but this time, it is not in my favor because I really need to get that TV or else I might die of boredom.

Wanting To Try Smirnoff Electric Apple and Electric Berry!

I am not really a heavy drinker but I love tasting different types of drinks with alcohol content in it. Occasional drinker, maybe. The best margarita I have tasted was way back in college when we dined in at Chili's Alabang. And also tried some cocktail drinks at Spicy Fingers Greenbelt. At home, we also drink our DIY margarita shots with tacos with friends while watching scary films.

Rainy Day Outfit Guide 2016

So this is going to be my first blog entry for this upcoming rainy day season which is surprisingly my favorite season. Don't get me wrong though, I don't like the flood, mud and traffic hassle every time it rains in the Philippines especially here in the Metro but I love it's calmness, the gloomy weather that is relaxing for me, cuddle weather and that peace of mind it gives me - makes me want to blog more; endless blogging inspirations!
